Located in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains in Eastern Pennsylvania (less than 2 hours from Manhattan or Philadelphia), Wayne and Mary Harding, founders and owners of Merryway Kennel, offer more than 25 years of exhibition and breeding in the dog fancy. Beginning with Llasa Apsos, Merryway branched out into Tibetan Terriers in the 1990s. In 2000 after helping Patricia McRae of Ahavapicaro show her Havanese, Wayne and Mary were quickly capitivated by the "big" dogs in a small dog's body. In cooperation with Ahavapicaro, Wayne and Mary became co-owners (and then owners) of Ahavapicaro's Black Ruby and showed her to her championship. Currently they are showing several of Ruby's offspring. The Hardings also continue to show and breed their Tibetan Terriers and are currently specialing "Stitch".and following the exploits of "Checkers" following his BIS win.
